Application:
Water Temperature Sensor 349-2458 is engineered for the Perkins 1103, 1104 and 1106 series turbocharged diesel engines (3.3 L to 6.6 L). These engines are the prime movers in Massey Ferguson 2400, 3400, 5400 and 5700 SL orchard tractors, mid-range combine harvesters, irrigation-pump sets, 50–250 kVA generator sets for prime or standby power, plus 7- to 14-ton hydraulic excavators, wheel loaders and skid-steer loaders used in construction, material handling and landscaping operations worldwide.
Technical specifications:
Thread interface M14 × 1.5 parallel with 19 mm hex and 18 mm probe reach for direct installation into the cylinder-head coolant gallery. Sensing range –40 °C to +140 °C via a precision NTC thermistor curve 2 500 Ω @ 20 °C, 300 Ω @ 80 °C, 120 Ω @ 110 °C, tolerance ±2 %.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4571 (AISI 316Ti) stainless steel for complete immunity to glycol, long-life organic-acid coolants and stray galvanic currents; a copper crush-washer and fluorosilicone O-ring ensure leak-free sealing up to 3 bar system pressure.
