Application:
The 2874A008 / CH12003 crankshaft speed sensor is engineered for Perkins 1104C-E44T, 1104D-E44T, 1106D-E66TA and 1206E-E70TTA turbocharged four- and six-cylinder diesels, and is directly retro-fittable to the 4.236, T4.236 and AT4.236 turbocharged 4.0 L engines. These power units are widely used across Massey Ferguson 5400, 6400 and 7400 Series agricultural tractors, combine harvesters, 40–250 kVA generator sets, tele-handlers, wheel loaders and industrial sweepers. In these applications the sensor bolts through the flywheel housing and measures the rotational speed of the 118-tooth crankshaft ring gear, delivering a digital square-wave or analogue sinusoidal signal to the engine control unit. This real-time data is essential for precise fuel injection timing, automatic idle control, governor regulation and diagnostics, ensuring reliable cold starts and optimum performance under varying load and ambient conditions.
