Application:
Camshaft Speed Sensor KRP1700 is purpose-built for the Perkins 2206-E13, 2506-E15 and 2806-E18 turbocharged diesel engines (13 L to 18 L). These engines drive FG Wilson generator sets from 400 kVA up to 750 kVA, Massey Ferguson MF 8700 S series high-horsepower tractors, large combine harvesters (MF IDEAL 9T), heavy-duty wheel loaders, 20- to 30-ton hydraulic excavators and a variety of irrigation pumps and drilling rigs used in both agricultural and industrial sectors worldwide.
Technical specifications:
Thread interface M16 × 1.5 with 22 mm hex and 37 mm probe reach allow direct installation into the timing-gear cover adjacent to the camshaft reluctor ring. Output is a digital Hall-effect signal, 3-wire, 8–32 Vdc supply, 0–8 kHz frequency range corresponding to 0–4 000 r/min camshaft speed, with built-in reverse-polarity and load-dump protection to +40 Vdc.
Material & performance features:
Probe body is precision-machined from 1.4305 (AISI 303) stainless steel for superior resistance to engine oil, coolant splash and road salt; the sensing tip is over-moulded in high-temperature PPS polymer rated to 150 °C and contains a rare-earth magnet for stable signal amplitude across the full temperature envelope.
